The top three health-related causes of death were all in the top five, according to a report from the NHS, with mental health being the most common of the three.

There were 5,638 deaths due to mental health in England in the 12 months to the end of March, compared with 2,917 in the same period last year.

The report also found that there were 2,715 deaths from the causes of respiratory disease and 2,713 deaths from other causes.

There are about 1.5 million people living with dementia in the United Kingdom, but experts say it is far less common than it once was.

Cognitive-health specialists have said that a large proportion of people with dementia have a cognitive disorder.
